Spud, did you ever see a pond you didn't want to fish in?
I remember 40 years ago when I still had the fishing bug, any good sized mud hole I drove by, I always wondered, "Are there fish in there waiting to be caught?"
True story: MANY years ago, a neighboring farmer had a pond he had given up on. He had located a hog parlor right across the road from it, and allowed it to mostly dry up. It was down to maybe a twenty yard circle of ugly looking water.
One day, for kicks and giggles, I got out my rod and reel, put a jelly worm and sinker on it, and made one cast. About a 1 lb largemouth devoured it as soon as it hit the water.
I threw him back, no way was I eating a fish out of that pond. He was even a lot darker color than they usually are. But, it just goes to show what kinds of conditions fish can survive in.

I’m gonna guess this may be one of the pros to hitchhiking. Well, at least stopping and picking up one, that is.
Not bad (the song and tune, too). Ol’ Roger’s pipes are still pretty good, too.

dozen times a year you really need a truck. A trip to Lowe's or the dump. And I got tired of borrowing a friend's truck. So we bought this one. I saw we, but my GF actually saw it and bought it. God bless a woman who can drive a 5-speed... they don't make em like that any more.
