Question about transferring vs reissuing football tickets
Sep 26, 2017, 5:54 PM
|
|
I'm trying to sell a ticket to my brother for the Wake game, but really don't want to go the route of snail mail. On the IPTAY site, you can "transfer" tickets to someone's email for a $5 charge. $5 isn't a huge deal, but I was wondering how the reissuing of tickets works on IPTAY's site, and if there is a charge to reissue tickets? I assume that reissuing gives you pdf 'print at home' tickets to take to the game. If there's not a charge to reissue, I could go that route and email them to him myself for free. Any insight would be appreciated.

If you don't have the pdf from Clemson but you have a scanner, scan that sucker in and email it for free.

I don't have the pdf, that's what I'm asking. If I hit re-issue, will the ticket office just email me a pdf version of my tickets? I only have the real tickets.

Mail the tickets to me plus $5 for processing and handling. I'll make sure he receives ticket well before the Wake game.

Thanks to all the "mail it" folks that have chimed in. That's a big help considering my first sentence said I didn't want to mail. You guys have obviously never dealt with lost tickets sent through the mail. Do any of you have a carrier pigeon I could borrow? Or maybe a telegraph machine?
I'm asking if reissuing tickets on my IPTAY account is free, and if you're emailed 'print at home' pdf tickets?
It's amazing how helpful fellow tiger fans can be...

Thanks, I didn't think of that either. Maybe I should mail them a letter asking how to do it.
I was going to call, but they were closed when I started looking into it. Thought I could ask other Clemson fans, on a Clemson website, if they knew the answer to my question instead, that was clearly a mistake..

Are you not aware of how the interweb works?

TNet especially?
I've never dealt with lost tickets in the mail. I have dealt with lost luggage by an airline. Still doesn't prevent me from checking a bag on vacations.

Update for anyone who actually cared to know the answer to my question..
Reissuing is free, you're emailed print at home tickets, then can email to whomever you like. Saves $5 for IPTAY 'transferring' them for you, and a whopping $0.49 cost for stamp.

Does an IPTAY transfer guarantee the ticket? Anyone can scan a pdf multiple times. Not that you'd do that to your brother, but others may want to know.
