Parking in San Francisco for football games....

2

Does anyone know a safe place to park that is convenient to both Cal Berkley and Stanford for our upcoming games? Thought we should start looking early. May take a while to find a safe place.

Remember when everyone flew into Vegas and leased a bus to go to the playoff game in Phoenix?

I'm thinking something like that.

I was on that bus.

Is Fever still the man to arrange this? Can we request a sober bus driver this time? I didn't think we'd make it back to Vegas alive that night.

I rented a convertible for me and my brother to drive from Vegas to Phoenix, thinking of how warm it can be in the Winter in that area. And it ended up being like 40 degrees.

I was on that bus caravan. We made a beer stop somewhere in the desert. That was a fun trip...on the way down.

Charter
Got dropped off right at the airport coming back. Long day/night. Flight left Vegas at 6 am I think headed back to DC.

I was in SF for the national championship. There is no place now.

you clearly know nothing about the Bay Area.

Take some time to learn about these institutions and you just might be surprised. Yes, Cal is very left leaning. Stanford isn't. Stanford is a huge rival of Cal's and they are VERY different schools.

No, it makes no sense for them to join the ACC. The SF/SJ TV market couldn't care less about college football. Tickets to the Clemson/Bama Natty were reselling under face value. We should kill them both in football for years to come. BUT - Stanford will likely beat us in most other sports. They have over 120 National Championships and send tons of people to the Olympics. Other than football, they have an extremely good sports program and will likely find winning an ACC championship easier in most sports than a Pac-12 one.

Stanford has a beautiful campus and is an amazing place. Cal... not as much. I know little about SMU outside of the cheating scandals. From that they sound like an SEC team.

accurate post...Stanford is not in San Fran any more than Clemson is in Greenville...

Cal... they are what $30bn in debt for their stadium upgrade... Cal is where the counter capitalism revolution started and is still centered...

SF is a pit... used to be a great destination city, even when we went to the natty.... now it has degraded even more, when a company walks away from it's hotel lease and multi-million dollar lease because of crime and declining revenues it says "don't come here"... and that is sad because it really is a beautiful place.

Wear steel toed work boots. Don't want to step one of the used needles that they hand out to the druggies.
