If we only get one more recruit this cycle, who do we want?

i want a CB, either Mullen or Hill, and I wouldn't be picky about which one. We need talent at CB. It would be tough to pick that over Gary, but I would.

It would be hard to say that I would take someone over Gary, but other than that I would go with Mullen due to our need.

We're going to have to get used to life without Alexander, but what college team in the country could lose a talent like that and just plug in another just like him. Go Tigers!!

FSU always seems to just plug in another 5 star CB every time.***

No, the pass rush created by having 2 athletic DT's...
Jan 16, 2016, 2:45 PM

The constant pressure from 2 athletic DT's + the 2 potentially very good DE's would give any QB very little time to get rid of the ball; making it a lot easier on the corners and the secondary in general. That is how the Giants beat Pats in 2 Super Bowls; that and dumb luck in the 1st one. It was the disruptive nature created by the front 4 of the Giants that caused Brady so much trouble, not their secondary locking down the wideouts. With Gary we would have minimum of 4 stud DT's capable of creating a consistent pass rush threat, from the DT position, each warranting a double team, as opposed to having less athletic, run stuffer types. Having 4 with this capability allows you to keep them fresh throughout the game; and would be problem for any OL.

I think you can't pass on a guy like Gary.
Adrian Baker is very talented, he just needs experience. Tankersley reminds me of Breeland but faster. Mark Fields is a guy I believe can be nasty at the nickel.
I like the starters going into next year, but I think next years Secondary is equivalent to this year's LB corp. There's a huge gap in talent between the starters and backups. On the positive side the entire front 7 is talented and deep.

If I had to say we could have any one that we wanted, I'd say Gary. If your front is good enough, the DB'S have a lot easier job as the passing game gets disrupted, plus you shut down the running game. Way more upside with a stud D Line than a lock down corner. Unless you can guarantee another Dion Sanders who takes away 1/3 of the field plus kick returns, I'm going D Line all day long. After that I would say O line.
