Budapest prices.

258 Hungarian Forint per 1 US dollar.
Dinner at a quality Italian Cafe with good reviews, 3600 forint. Veal Picatta, salad, 3 ice cold beers in chilled glasses while people watching. I dont feel like diving that up, but I think that is around 16 dollars. Anyway. If you want to go to Europe, but you don't want to think about how much money you are spending I recommend Budapest. It is really coming around and getting nicer every year. They may go to the euro in a couple of years, so its a good time while it is still cheap. Also, it is extremely safe if you are for some reason worried about terrorism like people seem to be with Western Europe. Anyway, just giving the heads up.

Check out Old Man's Music Pub. One of the best meals I've ever eaten and the live band was good too.

80s when I was traveling around over there, you could live like a king in Spain for about $15 bucks a day.
Furthest East I've ever been is Vienna.

Prague is pretty cool. It was very inexpensive back in the early 2000s.

I am going to the Camino de Santiago, but actually the Camino del Norte, which is a Catholic pilgrimage as you probably know. It will take me about 38 days. People do it for various reasons. I am doing it to meet people and see some things, but mainly because I am kind of fat and out of shape. I start close to San Sebastian and walk along the coast basically. So, while doing it you have a pilgrim passport that gets stamped here and there as you walk. You can get it stamped in restaurants or wherever you stay. Anyway, that proves that you are doing the walk. It allows you to stay in these places called albergues (sp) which cost about 10 dollars per night. They are basically hostels for people on that walk. My buddy did it last year and spent about 1500 bucks for the entire month and he drinks a lot.. Anyway,...I will let you know after or during how the costs are. I battled missing a few weeks of Clemson football, but my health needs to get in better shape.

San Sebastián is one of my favorite towns in all of Europe.

Get there a day early so you can see the old town, drink Spanish wine, eat some pintxos (Basque tapas), and hike the two fortifications on each side of Bahia de la Concha. Great views of the Atlantic, beautiful coastline, and great history in this once influential port town.
There's also a great little surf break on the east side of town. I caught it on a 6'-8' day when I was there last September. It was very easy and cheap to rent a board from the little shops that line the beachfront road. I used Pukas. Sounds like you may not be in the best shape for that but maybe rent a longboard if it's not a very big day to get some exercise, enjoy the beautiful water, and view of the city from the lineup. The water was surprisingly warm and I didn't even use a wetsuit.

I booked a hotel for 3 nights there. I figure I will come into town excited and will catch a buzz for a couple of days, then spend a day being healthier and then start the walk. It may be the last time I ever go to San Sebastian, so might as well see it a bit. After I walk for a bit I will check out Bilbao for a couple of days as well. Other than that I will walk every day.

I've only spent time in Barcelona and Torremolinos. Me and my USAF buddy almost got into it in a bar in Torremolinos with these Royal Marines (British Marines) because we snaked their womens.
