I would love to see Clemson win the Men's ACCT this year.

I honestly believe they have a decent shot. We have to potential and the talent to beat every team in there. UVa. will be tough. Definitely have a shot to play in the championship game.
What are your thoughts?

Just can’t lay bricks. Will all come down to hitting the shots. Had we done that at UVA early, we would’ve walked them. For that matter, poor shooting is the common theme in the losses. I do think fatigue for BC and Virginia was real, but we were up early at BC and just didn’t drop the hammer. Even usc game was early and PJ still coming back from injury. Louisville just can’t be explained nor Loyola.

Yes, we can show up be in fire and have a great tournament. But I’ve also seen us show up and never seem to get anything going. We lose when we do that at this level. So hopeful but the roller coaster that is Clemson basketball is tough to predict. I will say that this is the only team of the last few years that seem to have the ability to beat about anybody they play. Unfortunately they can crap the bed like they did against Louisville and at UNC too.

I agree. We have to shoot and rebound well. That usually starts with good ball movement. If the shooting stays hot we could be right there at the end.

My 2 upset predictions. V.Tech takes out NCSU in the 2nd round and UNCheat takes out UVA on Thursday. I have us making it to the championship game by beating UNCheat on Friday night then let the chips fall where they may.

My last Clemson sports goal

About 10 years ago, I announced to my closest Clemson friends my last 3 goals for Clemson sports. They were: (1) Win another national championship in football (check 2x); (2) Beat Tar Heels in Chapel Hill in basketball (check); and (3) win the ACC tournament in basketball. I have almost given up on #3, and given Clemson's abysmal record in tournament, while I am ever slightly hopeful, I am never optimistic. It would seem like this year is the best chance in a while. For it to happen, I think that Hunter Tyson has to be the team leader, needs to play with great passion and emotion, and needs to shoot 40% from 3 point range. He'll also need plenty of help.

Making shots. Make the most and you win. Every Single time!
The Tigers can do this. I’ve seen them do it all year.

accomplish in the ACCT, based on his post-game quotes Saturday, and is ready to lead the team in that capacity. That's encouraging and offers more hope than is normally afforded in these situations.

compete and win against anyone. Butt, if the Bricklayers Local 009 shows up, which seems to happen on a totally unpredictable basis, then anyone can, and WILL defeat US. It is the incredible disparity between those two extremes that makes watching Clemson basketball so frustrating during the Brownell era. "All or Nothing" seems to be the Modus Operandi.

I don't have the history but I do know it is very, very hard to beat a team 3 times in a season. This is a big if but if we can beat NC State Thursday, I agree that we have a shot at winning the tournament.
