I wish someone would write an article on ACC's TV contract.

Specifically who were the players and what their thought process was that made this seem like a good deal. All joking aside, these guys were highly paid, purportedly intelligent executives or educators. There has to be more to the story that a behind the scenes report would make the contract seem less like an incompetent botch job.

Who proposed the contract would have been ESPN and it was approved by the conference members and we are a member.

The ACC was built on basketball. Unfortunately football is the big thing so the ACC had little to offer. So the leadership decided that a bad was the best they could expect unless they found a way to disrupt the market. They were too proud or arrogant to do what was required so they accepted a bad deal
