TOP was 38:00. Let the defense control the coots and Rattler, and keep the ball on the ground. Get enough points to secure the win. Could have had additional points at the end of the game to let the clock expire. Unlike Tenn who kicked a field goal against Vandy to pad the score even more.

and I never felt the game was in doubt . . . We were in total control from the scoop and score to the end.

The way the defense was playing, we did the right thing . . . controlling the tempo and “eating clock . . . everyone in Willie-B knew what the outcome would be.
