And I think those are 2 things we have had for a long time (to dabo’s credit) and this year we don’t (and that’s on dabo too)

Number 1 - discipline: there are two plays that sum up this whole year to me. Shipley whining for the ball on the field after the play had been called vs FAU AND Cade ignoring the play called on the field vs Miami. There used to be a clear chain of command and if you broke it you got punished and benched. I think letting Cade and Shipley watch the first series at NCST on the bench would be a good start Saturday.

Number 2 - experience: Dabo committed to playing our young kids and reserves more to build depth and we used to keep our players longer before they entered the NFL draft. We held an enviable experience advantage. Now there is a portal and it’s a one way drain of experience. Regardless of your opinion or Dabo’s opinion - it’s just math! until we start effectively using the portal we will be at a significantly experience gap against every team we face.

Am I wrong?

I would have sat Shipley longer for sure after the fumble. Cade deciding to run a different play is insubordination in the business world.
He would al least be on a short leash against NCST.

The OL struggles are not related to experience IMO. Most are 4 star. It has to be development and confidence.
