I think the offense will get it together this week.

FSU is improving, A&M is certainly improving, even Louisville is improving. With our talent, we will make strides as well. Hopefully starting this Friday.

Agree - DJU and Offense will make strides. The stakes are Tony Elliott's OC title in 2022 if this Offense does not dramatically improve going forward.

I’m not convinced that Dabo will fire Elliott.***

Agreed. But Coach Swinney will be forced to strip the OC title from a program and recruiting perspective because Dabo's job is to win.

Last week I mailed Dabo a letter which of course he never saw. My suggestion was that he have someone on staff watch 7 Days in Utopia (Netflix). If that person agreed that it would do the offense good, then take 75 minutes to show it to them in. It would help a LOT.
It's written and produced by a Ph.D in sports psychology. It combines sports and spirituality but not in a "preachy" way. I have no doubt that its message will resonate with the guys on both sides of the ball--especially the O. It's a sleeper and one of the best things on focus and self awareness I've ever seen. I promise that those men will get it. They'll learn from it.

Good movie with Robert Duvall. I suspect Dabo has seen it. Here's the 7 series on video by the author of the book from which the movie was adapted.

The Syracuse game

Will be a mirror image of the previous games this season. The Tiger defense will keep it close. The offense will hang on as they have all year. The Tigers may score late and win it, or they may not!

What leads you to believe this will happen? Offensively, this team has a long way to go!

I believe we will stop their running game and force them to throw, which is good for us imo I see Clemson winning 27-14

Because we have the talent. If less talented teams are improving, shouldn’t we? We have good coaches. We’ve won 2 titles in the last 5 years.

two weeks to address our offensive issues then I think it is safe to say "we are what we are". If our offense continues to struggle Friday night then it is a good indicator that our offensive problems will continue through the rest of the season. October and November are the months when good teams should be hitting their stride with minimal mistakes and not struggling to perform their base offense...

I agree that this week is a bellweather game to a point. It is tougher to make changes when you are preparing for a good team compared to a bye week or a cupcake. Like Stodd1515, I also believe that we make large strides this week. I don't expect us to be an offensive juggernaut, but I do expect 35 to 40 points against a Syracuse defense.
