Saban denies being involved in the Sabin 10 Second Rule

Saban,who says he had nothing to do with the idea of the 10-second rule, advocated referees being given more control of pace of play, similar to the NFL's style of play.
Saban: "I really don't necessarily have an opinion on the 10-second rule.

it down. He wants it slowed down and is now saying how they do it is the NCAA's idea.
I think he makes a valid point, especially if the fastest teams only snap it 4 times prior to the 10 seconds on average anyway.
Further, I think the new era of having teams line up in formation and then make the calls rather than huddle already provides a huge advantage to the offense. The offense being the only side to determine when substitutions can be made further makes unbalanced competition. Games last longer too.
I really do not care, but I think Saban (who I really do not like) is being unfairly criticized; even if he is a whiny coach.
