I still do not understand why

the Shipley fumble play at the goal line was not reviewed by the officials at that time when there appeared to be the possibility that the ball was still in his possession at the first touch of the goal line before the ball came out! I thought all turnover plays are to be reviewed! Why was this one not reviewed?

It was not. I have rewatched that sequence so many times I can’t count. It is fair to say, though, I think there was 0 chance of the call being overturned. It was just too close for incontrovertible evidence.

Funny thing is, we really got the benefit of a bad call on that play. The defender should have been able to advance the ball and likely scores if not for the whistle.

He wouldn't have scored - Mafah was right on top of him and would've tackled him around the 10. Then the long run would've been 90 yards - or maybe wouldn't have happened I dunno.

They've watched every other Clemson game this year and fully expected it, just as I. Just as I expected when the Miami RB fumbled going in the endzone the next play I fully expected Miami to recover. It is just a SHID year, so why review it?

So there is a luck stat for CFB published by teamrankings.com. I have no idea what makes that stat, but expect percentage of fumbles lost and yards gained after said fumbles are significant factors. Guess where we fall - 113 of 138.

he's not doubting the fumble, he's doubting whether the ball crossed the endzone plane or not. cause it was def close and they never reviewed it.
