You would think that a new Pope has been elected by the way these people are acting around here. My goodness, if they only knew just how bad things are about to get for them, they wouldn't be celebrating so much. I for one hope that Clemson wins the national championship for the next 8 seasons so that I can laugh at them while chanting, "Anyone But Dabo!" As a matter of fact, my front door will be wrapped with a mural that shows Dabo holding up the championship trophy.
GO TIGERS!

and he is promising that Bammer will remain the big Elephant in the room (aka SEC) and continue the winning traditions of Bear & Nick.
Some big loafers to fill, for sure.

I was born in guntersville ala and raised an Alabama fan with family members who are grads of the university. But i saw the light and went to Clemson and graduated in the 80s. The new coach is no Saban and will struggle there with all that is required.

I'm watching my intellectually diminutive friends on Facebook post about how happy they are they got DeBoer and how the championships are going to continue to roll in.
Keep in mind that Mr. Saban didn't win his first title at a privileged place like Alabama until his third season. Jim Harbaugh didn't win a title at Michigan until his ninth year. Urban Meyer at Ohio State won in his third year, as well as Barry Switzer at OU. Urban (UF), Bob Stoops (OU) and Jim Tressel (OSU) each luckily won in their second year.
I figure it will be at least 2026 before Alabama even MAKES a championship game again.

There's the ole phrase that we like to use around here in Huntsville, "it's hotter than a meth pipe on pay day in Birmingham".

I think DeBoer is a really good coach and was a good hire for them.***
