In grammar school, That's what elementary school was called in the late 1940's, we were taught when to use I or me. Maybe not the rules but which to use. No I'm not a grammar nazi.

In the Beverly, as we called it, grammar was the least of our concerns. We were more worried about our stocks and bonds taking a hit.

people use the plural 1st person participle for an object of a preposition.
dude,
drop the "crew and i" and replace it with "I" or "me".
which is correct in your mind?
use the same "1st person" regardless if it is plural or not, in the same scenario.
