I agree - as long as the Texas brass and the cajones to do it. With his connections, he'll do well there.
And the defense can't get any worse

Here, he is our OC at Clemson...

In Texas, he is a legend. I wouldn't completely dismiss the possibility. Unlikely, but it is possible.

Maybe, and if so that's the sort of job he should take

if given the chance. However, he's at Clemson now and that's all that matters this year.

^^^^^^^ this. ^^^^^^^
Saban and UT have the same trout process. We are the best. They will empty the coffer (and have some left over) to go after him. This is the only job he would leave for.
He is a fixer that has antsy feet and likes to move.

And that would be the job Morris could not (and should not) refuse.
But lets watch the Tigers win it all this year and enjoy what is in front of us.

He doesn't play our style of football. Old school run run run. Morris wouldn't have control there so he wouldn't go there.

I doubt Texas will hire a Texas A&M alumnus(Morris).

Doubt it. Texas will fork out $6 mil for a proven commodity

with a winning track record as a head coach. I'm thinking maybe a Les Miles or Bobby Petrino type, especially if Petrino blows it up at WKU this year.

there is no way texas would hire morris. first they will go after someone who has head coaching experience. they will probably target gary Patterson. if chad did not get the nc state or tt job, why would texas hire him? he is a ta&m grad, and he will only leave clemson for a decent hc job, like tcu if Patterson goes to texas. who knows which jobs will open up, but morris will not get the texas job.
