I just watch the final few minutes of Auburn game again

Sep 7, 2012, 11:52 AM

and I am enraged again at the missed calls. The last time Tajh's helmet came off, he was already laying on the ground. He got up rubbing his forehead and ear because of how much it hurt having a helmet that tight ripped off of his head. Where is the personal foul call on that one? Then there's the missed holding calls on AU's OL on the last drive. I don't know that there's much to make over it other than it feels even better beating a team that plays dirty with the refs not giving you a fair shake.

I think they were SEC refs, but I'd like to get them for the GT game since holding calls are not their thing.

I believe they were an ACC crew. But, yes, the helmet ripping was ridiculous.

I have watched pro and college football my entire life

and I have probably pretty much seen every Clemson football game since the late 70s either in person, replay or on TV. I have never EVER seen one players helmet come off 3 times in a season let alone one game. This new rule is ridiculous.

ACC on the field...SEC replay officials in the booth

Totally agree about some of the no-calls. The helmet ripping was ridiculous. Since they made such a stupid rule it needs to be reviewable.

That is even more embarrassing that they were ACC

refs. They don't even look out for their own. Credit to the SEC refs in the booth for giving us back Tajh's fumble. I think it was the right call, but one could argue either way. I guess we're lucky few teams play as dirty as AU, especially in the ACC (I could see MD doing it if they play like their fans).

Stop thinking.

"Well, other than that, Mrs. Lincoln....how was the play?"

There should be levels of penalty

Sep 7, 2012, 12:57 PM

like the NBA. Flagrant, pulling helmet off - 25 yards or something like that, would probably deter it.

If you read an Auburn board, they are saying exactly the

same thing - except that it was the Clemson players getting away with blatant holding...
