Why do we care what the other ACC teams do this week? We are Clemson fans and not ACC fans. People screaming ACC, ACC sound just like the coots screaming SEC while they are an embarrassment to their league. Being a member of the SEC is all they have to hang their hats on. Surely we don’t want to be like or act like them.

All that our Tigers have to do is win out, the playoff stuff will take care of itself, and there is no way that an undefeated Tiger team misses playing in the playoffs especially if we are convincing with wins over FSU and ND!!!!!!

Winning out will get us in the playoffs but SOS will help get you the #1 seed, that seed gets to pick which site they want. This is huge because we want to be as close to home as possible and not have the team and fans traveling across the country.

We need to be concerned about how the teams in the ACC do because it affects the perception of Clemson when it comes to CFP selection. I am really cheering for FSU over LSU. I want UNC to win, but I cheer for South Carolina in all their non-ACC games. The better our opponents do against everyone else, the better it is for us.

Sorry, I will never get behind cheering for SC under ANY circumstances... The reality is how WE perform will be the biggest criteria in making the playoffs.
If watching SC lose every game somehow hurts our SOS, I can still live with that.

Amen….it brings me pleasure watching the coots suck. I grew up in Columbia w all those desperate trash talking downtown, west Columbia, Lexington, irmo northeast two notch scum rednecks. Everyone knows Columba is one screen doior opening away to he!!…Never forget all the 5 bombs..

Pulling for USUC only proves that you're just a drop in claiming to be a fan of Clemson, but if the truth was told with you pulling for USUC to beat the Tarholes while claiming that the ACC needs to be strong, but in the same breath you're pulling for an ACC team to lose to the stinking hens, AKA chit peckers that you're a true fan of!!!!

Of the strength of the conference. When Va Tech loses to Old Dominion or BC/Cuse/Duke losses to a New Hampshire or William and Mary or a Mac school it pretty much makes it where we have to go 12-0 to have any shot at playoffs. No one is actively pulling for ACC schools, we just want them to stop losing to group of 5 or FCS schools

It matters to our leverage with the networks. If the ACC continues to underperform, no one wants to watch and our broadcast contract reflects that.

It matters a bunch for a number of reasons already stated. 1. It will improve our strength of schedule for the conference teams we play. 2. Anything that can strengthen the ACC helps us, especially if we ultimately do not get out of the ACC. 3. We are not suggesting screaming "ACC" and we don't have to do that to hope ACC teams win.
PS: I hope FSU wins 41 - 40 with four fumbles to LSU's five, two interceptions to LSU's three, and one blocked punt to LSU's two. That's not exactly pulling for an ACC team, but rather wanting them to squeak by.

By the way Einstein a large part of Clemson' revenue issue and reason the ACC is in big trouble is the way OTHER schools play football against out of conference opponents. The national perspective of the ACC is tarnished every year by embarrassing performances against the East Carolina, Richmond, JMU, UCONN, UMASS, and Elon's of the world. Not to mention SOS for Clemson come playoff time.

The more wins our opponents have the stronger our strength of schedule which improves our ranking and playoff committee uses this to determine what seed to assign.

I certainly pull for other ACC teams to win. IF UNC & FSU lose this weekend it only helps the coots narrative that we are only good good cause we play weak teams, but most importantly if UNC & FSU win it helps our SOS and credibility. I don't live vicariously through ACC teams like SC do the SEC, but I certainly want our conference to be as strong as possible.

I'm pretty sure Elliott is in over his head.
I don't have alot of faith in UNC either. Thats only a 2.5 pt spread and their defense was awful last year. If South Carolinas late season progress in the passing game carries over, I think they have a really good shot at winning that game. UNC has a new OC now as well with Longo leaving for Wisconsin.
I would loooooove SC to lose in agonizing fashion though.

Amazing how people don't understand why it's important how the ACC plays. SOS is very important but poor play also effects recruiting. If you don't think it matters go look at the Pac 4.

You only need to look at last year’s basketball season to see how a weak perception of ACC performance hurts Clemson. 14-4 conference record and NOT make NCAA tournament.

Here's looking at you BC. You haven't been relevant since Matt Ryan was QB, no one even in Boston cares about your team, and you should get $5 in revenue from the league which is your worth. NC State would also have voted yes for UCONN to join the league which is one of the few non-ACC teams they can barely beat.
