from the freezer. I confronted my roommate, who denied eating them. A few hours later he confessed, saying "he forgot" he ate a whole sleeve of thin mints.

They just aren't that good. AND...they're always selling them in front of a grocery store where you're mere steps away from better cookies on the cookie/cracker aisle. Even closer if the grocery has a deli/bakery at the front of the store, as so many stores do these days.
Maybe, the key to getting very rich is for me to order a bunch of cheap Chinese knock-off cookies from AliExpress or Temu, put on some kind of uniform, and only sell them at a ridiculously steep markup ONLY once a year in front of Walmart. I do admire the Girl Scouts for preying on the vulnerable psyche of the Great American Sheep Herd though. If those girls are smart, the lesson they're coming away with as kids is that they can become very successful by opening title loans and payday check-cashing businesses. Or Chic-fil-A franchises.
