The biggest and most important piece to this that everyone

is looking over.

The biggest thing that could hurt CU, FSU, GT, and VT (The perennial bowl eligible schools) is the fact that ND can be chosen by non-BCS bowl ACC affiliations. Guess who's getting crapped on when the chick fil a bowl gets their turn to pick.....

bowl that they are in. Which means the ACC will have more bowl revenue than they would without ND (assuming they are bowl eligible).

And again, if the long term plan is for ND to join in football, then the point is moot.

of course they would. We get the money now. We won't get anymore than we're getting now. Problem is, which Clemson fan wants to go to Boise raise your hand....

and bowl payouts. I'm 0% worried about getting passed over by those schools. Could it happen some years? Yes, but I also think we can screw over some teams too. We've done that more times than not. Better bowl tie ins mean better bowls even for the 4th or 5th place teams!

When the playoffs come there will be lots of shuffling in the bowl tie-ins.

The ACC will get better bowl tie ins with ND.

Just watch.

We should be playing for BCS bowls now. I'm not worrying

about the bowl pecking order below that.

we won't be in the BCS every year....

to the BCS game. With our recruiting and coaching, there's no reason to believe we can't continue that. I know we won't be in the BCS every year, but in the years that we aren't does it really matter if we're in the peach bowl or the hotel bowl. It will be disappointing either way.

Not unless/until they're a football member. Does the contract say somewhere that they'd be considered an ACC member when it came to bowl alignments?

conference improve their bowl tie-ins. Right now we have the Chik-fil-a, and then a bunch of total turd bowls. Is anyone here actually happy with that?
