All anyone wants is the best for Marcus and for him to have the opportunity in the NFL. I think most of us expected if he came back it would be to just rehab and get ready for the draft in 2014. I would prefer he never stepped on the field for us again and went on to have a long and prosperous NFL career.

Besides, it isn't like we need him to beat Clemson.

Smart kid I have told the few SCar fans I associate with he needed to go pro to let the NFL take care of his rehab. Teams will question his ability to return and he will drop a little lower but those questions will remain even after a healthy year. Universities are great at rehabbing players but they do not have the unlimited resources of the NFL.

I am glad he is taking his time and seeking out information.

I wouldn't want him to step back on campus even for a second if I thought he'd come close to suffering even an ankle injury.

If he were to return to $CU for the 2013 season, he risks sustaining yet another injury which would almost certainly eliminate any chances he might have of ever playing in the NFL.

As it is, I still think that its a long shot at best that some team would be willing to spend a late-round pick on him based solely on talent and potential alone.

Marcus needs to do what is best for him and his family.

I hope he gets good advice, takes his time, and makes whatever decision works for him.

I think Gamecock fans will support whatever he decides.
