It’s not like we were in a rough environment. 13 minutes without scoring with 150 fans there? It boggles the mind.
I seriously think TNet could have formed a team that wouldn’t go 13 minutes without scoring at BC.
How can you not come up with ONE PLAY IN 13 MINUTES?!?!?

sometimes it just happens. i challenge you to go find a team that doesnt have a few bad losses. thats basketball. thats why we live for march madness when teams that have no business beating a 'blue blood', but it happens. sometimes the ball just doesnt go in the basket. sometimes you call the right play and you miss. i agree... 13 mins without a basket is mind boggling. but its time to look forward to saturday. a big win on saturday and everybody will be right back on the bandwagon.
barring a 3-5 finish (or worse), we'll still finish in the top 4 of the acc and go the the tourney. that is the goal.

i dont remember a single basketball season that DIDNT have frustrating moments.
Heck, in 2018 in our sweet 16 season we did the following...
-lost to temple in a neutral site
-scored 36 points in a 25 point loss to virginia
-had a 3 game losing streak in the middle of acc play

I challenge you to find any team - just one will do - that has made the NCAA tourney with two quad 4 losses. Once you do that, feel free to continue the narrative that this is normal for good teams to have “a few bad losses”. Cause it’s not. Just because JK says so doesn’t make it true.

tennessee is #2 in the country with a loss to a terrible colorado team and a less than stellar kentucky team.
there is 1 team (TCU) that has 2 quad 4 losses 8 teams with 1 quad 4 loss ahead of us in the NET (we have 2).
there are 11 teams with 1 or more losses in quad 3 (we have 1).
again, it happens

That doesn’t answer my question. Name a team that has gotten an at large bid to the tourney with 2 quad 4 losses.
I wasn’t asking about current standings but Tennessee has zero quad 3 or 4 losses so that’s a completely bogus example. I’m not sure where you are pulling your data. TCU has 1 quad 4 losses and 0 quad 3 losses. Utah St is the only team ahead of us to have 2 quad 4 losses. Not a single team ahead of us has three combined quad 3 and 4 losses. So no, it doesn’t happen.

sorry. you make a good point, but the bottom line is, if we go 23-8 (which means we close at 5-3) we are in. i will take that to the bank.

If you care to look, the Warren Nolan site has complete NET rankings back to 2018. The little drop down only goes back to 2021, but you can plug the year into the url for earlier seasons. I can‘t find any team with more than 1 quad 4 loss to get an at large bid. Net hasn’t been around forever so I doubt that is a stat that will hold forever. But we seriously hurt ourselves picking up an additional quad 3 loss.
