He said that VT has bad facilities and has great fan support but without financial support like Clemson has and that’s why they can’t attract great recruits now.

He mentioned their fans thought Shane Beamer might be ready for the job after some experience. He said his daddy left them with any talent when he retired and they needed a coach that could rebuild the ship.

I almost felt sorry for him!

Just remember when they came in and beat us like 30-3 under West. I think the announcer for us kept talking about our Volleyball team. There fans got to chanting, hey y’all , there’s always volleyball. Wasn’t fun to be a Tiger fan for many years. Im dont feel sorry for them.

two Clemson games early where we were losing big time. We looked like a high school team in its 1st game of the season. We had so
many false starts on offense I lost count. The other game I left early? The Orange Bowl West Virginia 70-33 debacle. At least I didn’t drive 1,200 miles to go to the VT game.
