Question for TNET regarding media releases and game announcers...

Rewatching game I recorded and noticed that those calling the game are struggling with players names. But they seem to have accurate info regarding offseason injuries, incidents, and practices. Does Clemson release detailed info specifically for announcers to use as filler?

My favorite is Dobbow. They have so much pretense about them that they hear "Dabo" and think, "No, I must pronounce it correctly as Dobbow."

They make the mistake of using phonetic pronunciations.

Which is a horrible mistake when saying personal proper nouns. Any letter, both vowels and consonants, can make the sound of any other because it's sound is defined by the person it identifies.

It's funny the announcer in the stadium wanted to say CJ Spiller instead of fuller. It came out CJ Sfuller haha

Also has how to pronounce names in question though any moron should be able to say dabo. Heck a 4 year old managed to say it initially
