I appreciate all the food recs - but I have to warn you...

I grilled a steak from Bi-Lo last night that cost me $2.94 and though it was pretty good. I also had about 6 beers so maybe that played a role.

I guess my point is, you aren't dealing with a refined palate.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you live in North Main area, no?

Oct 17, 2012, 1:10 PM

Son, get refined, or get out. They can sense rough edges, they'll turn on you....like a pack o' wild dogs.

Naw, it ain't Chanticleer or Augusta Road.

Good peeps around here.

As regards Parkersway, I was more concerned with

Mrs. jbvarnad's reaction to the store and its ambience.

The meat is OK there. It smells like meat when you walk in, which puts some people off.

Seafood is OK.

Hence, a trip to a butcher store is not something she will likely want to do - esp one that looks a little unsavory on the outside.

Unless she's drunk, then all bet's are off and it may be Baconator time.

Just like me, her morals may sway depending on alcohol consumption.

However, there's nothing like paying $53 for a 4 pound rib roast from EarthFare for Thanksgiving. Esp when they are on sale for $4-5/pound at Publix.

FML.

That's when the humane thing started.

Luckily, I married a woman that appreciates the killing of living things in the bloodiest, goriest, most inhumane ways possible. Like a female Quinton Tarantino, if you will.
