There's a lot of misinformation and/or incorrect assumptions scattered in the Capehart threads here.

To clarify - it is legal to have a gun on campus if you have a CWP and the gun is secured properly in your vehicle.

The CWP supersedes local policy.

Also, the campus gun policy is governed by the state, not by the school.

still seems like you could have it in your CAR without a CWP. Well....off to the Waccamaw and see what happens....probably not much, but I have to be back early for dinner at Frank's...

Misinformation or not, it is is either legal or illegal to have a gun on campus and since Capehart was arrested, it must be illegal. People make mistakes and he made one any way you slice it.

Clemson is an extremely dangerous town and everyone should carry, EVERYONE. This is the only way we can keep the bad guys at bay.
