They were down 2 runs. Needed a base runner to bring the tying run to the plate. And more important he was 1 for 7 lifetime against Minter. Maybe he thought bunting was his best chance. It was a tough lefty vs lefty matchup for Schwarber. So though it was strange I can't go so far as to say this is proof the game is rigged.

Didn’t pinch hit for him Cause Schwarber would have gotten his feelings hurt gone into the MLB Portal AKA
Free Agency and he and his Dad would never talk to anybody ever again

Yankees won barely over .700 in 1990s I believe. The other team I think is Tampa in 2019 Covid yr but games got cut to like 60 total.

That said, any game that you can win division with just over 50% of your games quickly lose my interest. MLB baseball plays too many games just for them not to fill seats in stadiums but to sell $12 beers and $5 hotdogs. Say the same for NBA, 86 games are wayyyy too many!

Seriously, only one team that won .700 in a full season. And they get paid $100s million to stand out on grass to catch a ball and swing a bat typically 3-4innings a game??

While I played baseball for few years and was one of best on team, I never liked the coaching and always thought I could be doing something that was more fun.

Keeps happening, my header change doesn't ever take. Is that a donor privilege?

I posted that only 2 team have won .700 games since '60s when they went to 162 games.
