Do a Google search for “Injured wake fan”.
No mention.
Maybe he was not injured, but it looked like Filipowski intentionally put his right leg out, tripped the Wake fan and the kid went flying head over heels.

rushing the court has taken place for decades without major incident, but suddenly the current generation wants it stopped.
Like so many traditions, laws and customs there is a desire to just change everything. Make what was illegal legal and take what is illegal and make it legal and applauded.

Yep.
We just continue to see the “college” removed from college sports in many ways.
I know I’m in the minority on this one…
but I still think it was an absolute disgrace that the FSU band was not in Clemson for the football game.

Looks to me like the Duke player stuck his leg out and attempted to trip the fan. If that is what happened, that is on the player, not the fan.

You mean the fan of the home team who was on the court and ran directly at the Duke player.

Defend themselves?? It looked to me Flip was attacking the fan. He intentionally stuck his leg out to trip the fan and tried to hit him with a two elbow block to the face. If the fan had not fallen so fast Flip would have knocked him to the floor.

Yeah it's one thing to go down on the court under control. It's another to be running out of control like a maniac and plow into a guy's knee. Can't stand Duke but wake fans totally screwed that up.

Look to me like the wake fan would have run right past Filipowski and they wouldn’t have touched each other if Filipowski had not put his right leg out and tripped the wake fan.
For years we’ve had fans run on the court and rarely had any trouble.
I think the difference here is the player, Filipowski, stuck his right leg out and tripped the dude which sent him flying into the air, landing 15 feet further out. Seriously, take a look at the video; that wake kid went flying.
Im still waiting to hear if the wake fan is hurt.
