Does he remind anyone else of a poor mans Tajh Boyd? About the same build but he doesn't seem to pass as well as Tajh. In the games I've seen it seems like he likes to float the ball up in the air and let the receiver make a play.
I think we may be able to rattle him and get some picks with pressure up the middle
Yup. Good comparison, I think. Big dude, thick, runs with power and is faster than you think. He doesn't have quite the deep ball Tajh had but he's got a live arm and he's got some big targets on the perimeter - Isaiah Ford and Bucky Hodges in particular - who can go up and get it.
They don't have much at RB but they really don't need a ton; Evans does most of the heavy lifting as their RB as well and it's always tough to stop a QB that can make his own yards.
VT really is fair-to-decent on offense, and at least that good on D. I'd expect a fairly tough game; you KNOW this VT squad is not just going to lay down and die for us like the Gamecocks so obligingly did. These guys are right at as tough as Pitt...we need to treat them accordingly and put them away better.
I actually thought the exact same thing the first time I saw

Jerod play this season. He's not as polished of a passer, but he has the same quick gunslinger release. I do think he is a slightly better runner than Tajh was however.
