Hypothetical scenario

If Clemson only loses to North Carolina State with their only loss of the season and North Carolina State loses to Notre Dame and makes it to the ACC championship game and they either win or lose it do we make the playoffs?

similar situation could have occurred last season. Had we lost to Louisville, and beaten Pitt, Louisville would have gone and played VT in the ACCCG. Louisville coming off 2 straight losses (houston and UKY) and VT with 3 losses.

I think we would have been in with one loss and no ACCCG

we'd be at the mercy of all other conferences and potential mayhem. I'd say unlikely, but it worked for Ohio State last year
