into the NCAA Tournament. I would like to amend that to say that if we go one-and-done in the tournament, he should be fired ... on the spot. That kind of season-end collapse is inexcusable and unforgivable, especially for a coach that has his best team ever, and especially for a coach in his 14th season with a history like Brownell's of season's end failure, and especially for a coach who was in a do-or-die situation to begin with. If, on the other hand, we are the least bit impressive in the tournament, you've got to bring him back, so be prepared.
The fact is, Brownell can beat UNC at UNC, and pulls off other inpressive, inspiring wins at times; but when it really counts, he has not shown any ability to win. Instead, he has shown a propensity to lose to underdogs post season.

fired. He is as good of a basketball coach as Clemson deserves. We shouldn't want or expect any better.

Clemson basketball is Clemson basketball, nothing new here. Expecting different results while doing the same thing is the definition of a condition, it is called insanity!
We will always be a mediocre team with no aspirations for anything better until someone within the program decides it is time to invigorate Clemson basketball. A history of no success, truly no success worthy of mentioning in the existence of the program

If Neff is thinking Brownell deserves to be fired, why not go ahead and fire him before the tournament? Maybe it is the coach holding back the team and they could play 'lights out' with the idea someone actually cares enough to do something about the situation instead of the same old thing year in, year out. Maybe the players feel the same way we do.

He has proven over and over that he cannot inspire confidence in his players in big games. That’s coaching or lack thereof.

The 2017-18 team is his best ever, and I don't see the 2010-11 team as his because those players were holdovers from Purnell and were a bunch of upperclassmen and a second year Devin Booker. But everything else I completely agree with.
