How to stop fumbles class

Oct 26, 2023, 12:44 PM

Maybe any coach that has responsibility for running backs or quarterbacks should go to how to stop fumbles school. A few facts: Ben Jarvis Green Ellis who played for New England had 562 runs, receptions, and kickoff returns. He had ZERO fumbles. Do you think there was a few techniques involved to prevent fumbles? On the other hand which NFL quarterback had the most fumbles? Brett Favre had 166 fumbles. Tiki Barber had 53 fumbles but was known for how he held the ball to prevent fumbles. Derrick Henry has had 17 fumbles in 108 games. Go you tube for how does Derrick Henry carry the football to minimize fumbles.

Since the Tigers' practices are so soft, Dabo has turned the drills over to the wimmmmins. This one was designed esp. for Ship.

Our very own Brian Dawkins forced 36 fumbles in his NFL career. 36, that's a crazy number! Maybe he can coach our guys on what defenders are doing to try to get the ball out and how to counter it.

We have a relatively slow relatively small running back who is known for being a "gamer" and struggling for every extra yard.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised that when he is struggling for those extra yards he is going to fumble some.

That's not considering the RPO exchanges which I always put on the QB.

Part of the problem is our defense, whom our offense practices against every day, does not force many fumbles.

If I didn’t know better I would think the running backs are getting paid to fumble at the goal line. Really is unbelievable to see that happen more than once in a season. There’s some bad mojo with this team, snakebit, cursed or something.

Fumblitis started against the coots and may be some type of chicken curse.

I started to wonder if players are betting against the spread and as we are about to go up another score, our guys fumble. Its been unreal the circumstances of goal line fumbles but not only that but then the opponent picks it up and scores or flips the field 80yds.
