How much does your representative get from the gun lobby?

Oct 3, 2017, 3:59 PM

Votes for sale. (not to worry, the dems sell their votes as well) We are losing our democracy to moneyed interests. 90% of Americans support Universal background checks for weapons purchases...but it's not going to happen.

$5,900,000 given to Republicans in 2016 election cycle

$106,000 given to Democrats in 2016 election cycle

The point is that no politician should be responsive to moneyed interests instead of their constituents....dem or rep.

If they can do it 'for' you they can do it 'to' you.

I am not sure he even needs to get paid for this in Wisconsin. Seems like a waste of money on the gun lobby's part.

what difference does it make where 'facts' come from. While they get us all caught up in partisanship we're being sold down the river.

probably just as much. As I said it's both Dems and Reps.

So what i'm getting from all of this is that the corrupting influence of special interest money on our Democracy is ok as long as it's corrupting toward something you agree with.

It's wrong for Reps and it's wrong for Dems. And as long as they have the population hating each other over 'Liberal vs Conservative' it's going to continue to harm both's interests.

What would the anti-gun "lobby" be? Like what do they manufacture and sell?

The people I see are usually parents, spouses, siblings, and children of those killed in mass shootings. Not sure there's much profit in that.

Plenty of profit in BLM and Rainbow Coalition and the likes. Why cant the anti-gun lobby do the same?

Also, ever since the gun was made and first fired, no way you are keeping them out of the criminals hands and the ones that want to do harm. You can legislate it to death and take them out of the law abiding hands, but the criminals will always have a gun.

Get out there and raise some money for your cause! You should be setting up an account now and raising funds to get congress to take up serious legislation on guns.

Come on Felix!! You are wasting time!

There is nothing we can ever do about it. They died. Big woop. John Hancock knew exactly what the world would be like in 2017 and that is etched in stone moving forward. Trump 2020.
