Talked to a bunch of people. FSU people still telling me that Clemson and FSU are in constant contact and are, in fact, increasing. I was told that everyone is still digesting all of the stuff that happened Friday and is taking a breath....but we will see where everything sits over the next few days and if there will be any further movement.

Looks like Phillips made a hotline call to the PAC12 commish to get valuable advice regarding how to retain conference members. Hard to ID which is Phillips, but guess it's not the heavy set guy with the cap.

where he says that FSU is trying to build a Privately Funded College Football Network. That was from yesterday, I think. In the video, he seems to say "error" afterwards. I will see if I can find it.
Have you heard anything on this?

I watched it. I think it's BS. They were looking at private funding to help pay the exit fee. They do not believe the GOR is valid. That is where FSU is at.

Forgive me as i am just a lowly plebeian without intimate knowledge of Florida State or Micheal Crow. Why is the Arizona State president commenting on FSU’s alleged network? Do all the schools with “State” in their name communicate? Does ASU know what FSU is doing? Does PSU also know what happens between these schools. How about NCSU? Do they share the knowledge or are they not involved cause they have too many letters in their name? I must have answers. Also, is FSU’s network like the Longhorn Network? Just for them? If yes, how can that work? ESPeNis didnt do so well on that one. If it didnt work for Texas, would it work for FSU? Also, would they even have rights to any of their games, Past or present? Arent those owned by the ACC? What would they show? Sorry for all the questions. I dont expect you to have answers so I guess they were all rhetorical questions.

ASU President Michael Crow is true innovator and really bright guy. He has brought ASU to a position of leadership in may areas of higher education. Under his 20 year term ASU now has the largest on-campus enrollment of any US university. He personally thinks the rejection of the Apple streaming offer was a poor and short sighted decision as he sees linear TV as a dinosaur and that in 10-15 years all sports will come to market on-line. He was the final holdout in the jump to Big12 based on his longer term vision.
I would not be surprised if several of his counterparts, such as FSU President, has sought his opinion on over the horizon concepts.
For transparency I am now an Arizona resident and father of an proud ASU grad.

camp, there are no Pac12 teams worthy of getting (outside of Stanford, and why) now.
Believe it comes down to:
1. Getting out of ACC contract.
2. Then, accepting a “prior” invite from either SEC or BIG.
Otherwise, as Dabo says: Play Ball.

Have you heard any rumors or scoop that the ACC may be going after FM's pop warner team and maybe one other?
I know FM would be mum regarding any on going talks. He tried to throw us off the trail last week with some garbage about a conference expanding into CHy Na and South America. I immediately knew that was a ruse for some other thing going on. Now I know.

together. But I also think if either one of them got a call from the B1G or SEC and the other didn't, it would be natural for either to look out for numero uno. Although, FSH hasn't been numero uno in some time.

If this is all about eye balls why didn't any of these conferences take the San Fran schools? Cal and Stanford. I guess the easy answer is that no one in the Bay area watches college football.
