shortly after classified docs were found to have been inappropriately stored by Biden? Trumps still not been convicted of anything (not for lack of trying)...
the world is becoming evermore strange.

I'm not sure what a nutter is, but it sounds as though I am supposed to be one...
A favorite pastor of mine, wonderfully intelligent. thoroughly degreed, would often say, with respect to reading scripture, "the plain thing is the main thing." Like most, I've lived much of my life operating on this principal as it related to significant events. However, when I was in grad school a guy ahead of me, and for whom I had come to respect, told me, " it won't be ling before those folks at Ruby Ridge seem mot do crazy." For my part, I think I'm seeing a progression towards that mark. Too many things that make you go hmmm.
Taking this FBI guy, for example, "they" likely knew during the Russia/Trump probe what this guy was about. If they didn't then know, they certainly knew and could/should have known as the probe progressed. But nothing happened. Now, some years later, this guys former employer (the FBI remember) goes after him and gets him for what appears to be double agent type activities. Does it make good sense that "they" didn't know of this year's earlier and chose to ignore? I can think of such a scenario, but it was also used to undermine the credibility of a president (which, don't forget paved the way for 2 impeachment trials). This, is just one example of the ever more frequently reported events which sees me thinking the pastors pedagogical motto for reading scripture does not well fit tge understanding of current events. The collection of such examples is also making me think my grad school friend is beginning to look like a prophet. Let's also not fail to acknowledge that our faith in our elected officials, government operations and reporting has justifiably eroded, and not just a little bit.
Conspiracies? I don't know, but there is a whole lot of weirdness going on and I find myself pondering the why's and how's of current events to an ever greater extent.

In short, the board libs/dems aren’t capable of putting pieces of the puzzle together own their own. They cry conspiracy theory, whataboutTrumpisms, and say a whole lot of words without answering any questions. All you have to do is sit back and watch everything unfold as it has been for the last 6 years. You’d have better luck sitting down and convincing a flat earther that the earth is a globe!

I'm having a hard time buying the idea the election was legit. These are some of the reasons: 1. Biden really isn't all that likeable himself. He's a better politician but if anyone saw some of the senate hearings for which he was a committee member, you'll recall he is as big an ### as Trump. 2. Biden wither ran the mist brilliant campaign ever or the worst. if you recall his few rally, they weren't well attended whereas Trumps were alqays very well attended . 3. The economy did jot give people a reason to want to switch horses. Though Trump has some very objectionable elements about his personality, the economy was going pretty good till COVID, which clearly wasn't his fault. 4. Trumps response to the virus was really all we could hope for on that he pushed to get vaccines quickly approved. I'm not sold on the idea the vaccines were as safe and effective as we would want, but we were informed we were in direct straits and his admin made things happen. 5. there is an awful lot of talk about irregularities in many important areas. some of this could been attributable to sour grapes, but Bidens margin of victory , combined with elements already listed just doesn't seem credible. 6. politics is a dirty business and the bigger the office the dirtier it gets. Both sides are out to win and gone are the days when folks had lines beyond which they would not cross. Add to this that Trump was the least enfranchised president since Carter and it I'd esdy to believe Biden had the upper hand on the underhandedness of election meddling.
Am I convinced it was stolen? I don't have the info to know (I'll assert very few do) but I think there is plenty of reason to question it and anyone who says otherwise is simply not being honest.
One thing that keeps me from being convinced it was stolen is the role of the press. The press elected Trump. They didn't mean to, but he got so very much free air time as the press was trying to set up a win for Hillary. They thought he was a clown show that would simply get tossed away in a general election against Hillary. Well, thanks to them he won the primary and because Hillary is even less likeable then Trump, she lost. The press spent the next four years trying to right their wrong and they clearly hurt his presidency. Could be between the press and a few mistakes by Trump folks turned. But this still doesn't explain the margin of victory. So, I lean towards stolen but I have enough doubt to jot be convinced.

For you to believe the election is stolen, there should be some legitimate evidence other than you think Biden is an ####. Seriously, there hasn't been any legitimate evidence brought forward in the years since the election and the polls indicated for months prior to the election that Trump was going to lose.

1. That isn't a reason to call the election illegitimate. Trump wasn't likeable either, and his approval ratings among Americans were atrocious. He won 2016 without carrying the popular vote. At no time in Trump's tenure did the majority of Americans NOT want him out of office. Period. Those are the stats.
2. Rally attendance has nothing to do with vote count. Nothing.
3. Okay, so you admit there were reasons people wanted a new president.
4. How does this statement point to the election being rigged?
5. It's sour grapes. How come there were claims of irregularities in some states Trump lost where other Republicans also won? Why would there JUST be irregularities in the presidential election in those states and not the other races? Why didn't y'all cry foul over those races?
6. This is your opinion and doesn't prove anything regarding the election.
EVERY single case the Trump admin brought to the courts was dashed. EVERY single audit of the 2020 election still produced the same result. NOT ONE single state showed evidence that the election had been tampered with.
Evidence even has come out that Trump and his people KNEW the election was legit but only pushed the case because they were sore losers and knew they had gullible, naïve followers (read: YOU) who would back this stupid myth.
Trump lost. He lost fair. He and anyone who say otherwise are just crybaby sore losers. Period.

This is essentially how I was going to respond:
"In short, the board libs/dems aren’t capable of putting pieces of the puzzle together own their own. They cry conspiracy theory, whataboutTrumpisms, and say a whole lot of words without answering any questions. All you have to do is sit back and watch everything unfold as it has been for the last 6 years. You’d have better luck sitting down and convincing a flat earther that the earth is a globe!"
And, it is true. For some reason, this group of people, libs-progressives-democrats whatever you want to call them, cannot put 2 and 2 together. I believe it is because their brains are not wired to remember key events and see changes over the long term. Most of the posters here are 'mature' and some retired. They have 'been there done that.'
But, unfortunately they are not like Farmer's Insurance "We know a thing or two because we have seen a thing or two." These people have been alive to see/experience the thing or two, but have no idea what it means in a larger context. They have seen it, but do not know what it means...

Good God these Boomer geriatrics just keep right on lingering like houseguests that have stayed about five years too long. And the Boomers have never been remotely good at introspection, but it's still startling how they've gone from being peace-and-love hippies in their youth to a nihilistic, hostile, fearful pack of ultra-reactionaries glued to their Fox News in their freaking Golden Years and don't even remotely realize the extent to which they've gone completely Jekyll and Hyde.
They make me genuinely fear getting old.
My hope is that it's a just a function of the fact that the Leave It To Beaver generation grew up in a postwar boom like none the world has ever seen, and just do not understand that it was an artificial situation (mostly caused by the fact that Europe and Asia had bombed themselves into the Stone Age, leaving the USA as the world's one intact industrial base) and the world will never go back to the way it once was. My further hope is that us former latchkey kids have a more realistic grasp on the notion that the world does not and will never revolve around us, and maybe we won't go that way.
I can hope, anyhow.
