How is SCAR's recruiting class ahead of us on rivals?

Surely the system is flawed if this can happen just bc they have so many more commits

The OP must be looking at a different ranking. The one you have shows us with the eleventh ranked team by points and the coots nineteenth. And that's with 7 fewer commits.

It's because their 3-star players are "SEC caliber", so that moves them up a few notches.

which isn't the best way to give a 'rank' as 20 commits will always beat 13 even if the actual talent won't. You can sort by Avg rating, and we're #2. Cawks are 21 by that.

Pure numbers, 20 to 13. But we clearly have the better overall recruits. We would be top 3 with 20 commits right now. We don't just take anyone like they do now tho, that's the dif.

Completely based off of quantity. Rivals factors in the top 20 commits from each school to find the school's total recruiting points ranking. So obviously a team with 19 or 20 commits is going to have more points than our 13 man class right now, don't worry, by February when our class is full we should be much higher, and Scar likely won't be in the top 25 (or at best a good 10+ spots behind us). We have/will have the much better class in 2017.

Rivals has a glitch

It'll be straightened out soon.
Clemson is 11 on Rivals and USuC is 19.It's where both schools were before the glitch,it'll be where they are after it's straightened out.

it looks like Rivals is redoing their top 250 atm. Anyway, the ONLY way the coots will be ahead of us is through sheer numbers. However, they've already reached the threshold of 20 commits so the only way they can get more points now is by bumping off their lowest rated commit with someone better. We are only at 13/20 so our points could still increase significantly depending on how many the staff actually decided to sign this year (it's not going to be too many).

What are you looking at? The Rivals rankings show the coots at 19 and Clemson at 11. How is that better?

LOL because most of those guys have watched as much tape as Ray Charles.
At least having them ranked ahead of us in August, in a recruiting ranking that isn't over til next year, will give them a little bit of hope to not give up and to actually follow football this year instead of drowning their sorrows in the parking lot city of Columbia

Their system is flawed as it's based on total points...click on avg. stars and we are #2,behind Ohio State. The average stars are the details that matter not whether someone had 20'recruits (SCjr)and someone only has 13 (Clemson).

it is not a bad class with 6 ESPN 300 recruits. The real question is what will boom do with these guys on offense.
