watched that, it is not the law itself but its application that seems to be the problem. None the less, and unicorns aside, it encourages senseless violence IMHO.

Now I get the argument over application, However, for the law to apply the "senseless violence" would've already have to have started, I see no reason to consider the situation wherein an aggressor decides violence will occur and is met with force from an innocent party as being one that encourages violence.

Don't let the fact that Zimmerman didn't use such a defense confuse you as to the application of the law to the Trayvon case.

And quietly, hundreds of innocent minority teens die in urban cities each year from violence.
