He has done this a couple games this year but this one is fresh on the brain and I am excited.

If he still has that much action, the only way to stop it (as long as he has a hole) is for the UGA LBs to meet him at the hole - and to do that, they'll have to cheat up a couple of yards - which opens up the underneath to drag, slant and look-in routes by the TE and/or the slot receiver (Sammy). Might be the Tigers playing ball control on Saturday and that's a good ball control plan with this team. If we can get that underneath action going, the safeties will have to come up and that will open up Martavis Bryant deep.
The big battle will be on both lines. Stop UGA's run game, get our own run game going with some good blocking and kill 'em deep.

2 things concern me.

1. Can Hot Rod (or whoever is in at RB) pick up the blitz?
2. Our secondary.

HotRod threw that block on LSwho's mike on the 4th and 16 play. I'm not saying he can hold off a 300LB lineman unless he get a good running start.
My only worry about HotRod is if he can stay healthy.

Our secondary is my main concern, particularly our CBs.***

I think our cornerbacks surprise.

It's the depth at safety, especially against a team with a large running back that concerns me. Chances are one of our safeties will get dinged up and have to come out for a few plays.

Venables will most likely keep us in the normal 4-3

possibly a 4-2-5 if our LBs have a problem in space agaisnt their TEs or WRs. the fact remains though that while the safeties will have run help responsibilites I really look for the front 7 to make then have to do clean up duty at the very most.

I'm guessing that BV has something up his sleeve to work on the UGA run. I don't doubt that we'll show a lot of 4-3/2-high safety, but since he's familiar with the OK Eagle 53, we just may see some 8-in-the-box sets to stuff the run against that pro-style offense that UGA runs.

That'll depend on how much he trusts the CBs

Venables seems to favor zone over man to man coverage and while I don't have a problem with that I do think stacking the box and daring Murray to beat us through the air might be the best plan. We've got to take something away from them and the running game is their bread and butter. Murray has proven that he'll chock more times then he'll succeed under pressure.

He has to trust the corners and I agree....

we'll need to stack the box and also trust the 1-high safety for a few plays where we need to gamble. We'll need to throw some 4-2 nickel at them as well.
I really, really think the game will be won by our front bringing pressure and having the secondary jump their pass routes. We need to attack that team from the get-go and keep doing it all day long...... over and over. Then if we can get a lead, we just might be able to play ball control spread and wear 'em out.

they are good this year, it will definitely be a surprise. I hope you are right. I was hoping that Alexander could make a difference there, but he has been slowed by injury. I agree that depth at safety is a concern.
