What is your favorite black tea for making homemade iced tea? I like Paul Newman's.

Never tried it. My wife always get Lipton's caffeine free. It is like drinking non-alcoholic beer hahaha

I've never tried decaf tea, but I've noticed decaf coffee tastes flat.

I buy caffeine free tea bags too. Usually whatever store brand is available. Once I reached a certain age and on blood pressure meds can't stand the feeling caffeine gives me.

I remember seeing the commercials when I was a child, but don't recall if I've ever tried it.

My grandmother used Luzianne. Plus an undetermined amount of sugar. Best sweet iced tea I’ve ever had!

I don’t care . . . Just use plenty of it . . . It needs to taste like tea . . . Not colored water.

Agree. Restaurant teas are never strong enough for me. When I make it, it's two or three times stronger than those.

I remember my (ex-)wife's reunions and family get togethers and someone would always ask, "who made the tea?" I'm not sure it was a compliment or a criticism, but the answer was always positive.

Lipton mostly because that is what we were raised on and it's good. Does Luzianne taste like corn dogs?

I use Lipton's k-cups. Mix the sweet & unsweet half & half. To get more tea flavor, I use only 6 1/2 oz of water over ice. Funnel it into a gallon jug or other large container after using 1 of each k-cups. Expensive to buy & make w/ so little water but worth it.
Milo's is great too - the only pre-made tea worth buying. I get one gal. each of sweet & unsweet & mix them half & half.
I've never seen Newman's but will give it a try if I see their k-cups. Thanks for the info.

Agreed. Milo’s is closest to homemade as you’ll get from store bought tea.

Not even sure which one I’m drinking. The wife keeps 2 gallons in the refrigerator and I’m the only one that drinks it. Love the stuff!

I like Tetley. I also like Charleston Breakfast tea for hot tea. I grew up on hot tea in the morning growing up in Summerville.

I go back and forth between Lipton and Luzianne. I love all of Paul Newman's stuff so I will have to try his tea.
All profits go to charities for kids - pretty hard to argue.
Hopefully y'all add your sugar when it's boiling for better flavor.

Another Great Question

C+H, Domino, or Dixie Crystal's?
I remember some sad days from my youth when my mom discovered her affinity for 'Splenda' - I'll never do that again.

Dominio and Dixie Crystals growing up. Now, organic turbinado or raw sugar.
