I hope it’s the Gator bowl ticket sales would be a lot better than the Holiday bowl

San Diego weather and sites are better than Jacksonville. But I get the time and money difference. San Diego weather is great all year round.

Conferences have agreements with bowls.

After the committee selects the 12 teams to play in the big bowls, the rest follow a pecking order.

Clemson will fall into that order. They will be slotted for a bowl (Something like 4th ACC team vs 3rd PAC 12 team) and that is where they will go.

The days are long gone where bowls contact schools and schools can choose which bowl they want.

"Accepting a bowl bid" is a mere photo-op.

You are mostly correct. Bowls do have some selection decisions. Gator could take Clemson. However, that would likely mean a rematch with Tenn. Not desirable! Which sends us to the Holiday.

Yes! Will be a great experience for the players and will get them accustomed to what its like to play at Stanford and Cal.

Absolutely, we need the practice and teaching time. We still have a lot to teach and work on. It isn’t about the bowl; it’s about the prep before it.
