Proof that Gamecock prosperity never lasts.

I am most pleased with our latest foray into the world of gridiron skirmishes. Following the last few seasons, I would never have imagined we would vanquish Tennessee, Georgia and Georgia Tech in a single year, the latter two at their venues no less. Huzza! I foresee nothing but glory for our young men henceforth.

Well, I must say I am not exactly flabbergasted following last nights debacle against the Cavaliers. After going 0-1-1 against Bingham Military and struggling to vanquish Welsh Neck, I felt hard times were ahead. I had hoped last year’s showing, which included losses to Davidson and Charleston AC, was but an aberration but I fear Coach Benet may not be the man for the job.

Gosh, golly, Coach Bocock is indeed a fine man! I wondered if he could maintain Coach Metzger’s success following last year’s 7-3 record and he has in fact duplicated it! We have now vanquished those malodorous hillbillies for consecutive years and I see no end in sight. It is a good time to be a man of the Black and Garnet, and I imagine even the womenfolk can appreciate it on a lesser level. Onward, boys!

Confound it! 6-4 and three of those wins came against Sewanee, The Citadel and Erskine. Topped with our loss to Furman, I feel our men are headed for a dark period, a sort of depression if you will. And will we ever beat those yokels again?! Four sequential trouncings!! How can it be?! They cannot even read or write!! And but three touchdowns in those four contests?! Appalling!

Gentlemen, I believe the corner has been negotiated! Last night’s taming of Auburn in Birmingham concluded a 6-3-1 season that was crowned by a third successive flogging of our country cousins! Many congratulatory offerings to Coach Laval and the men in Garnet and Black. I would also like to offer my kudos to the athletic department. The promotion allowing for ticket holders to receive a fifty percent discount at the cathouses surrounding the fair grounds was both imaginative and appreciated. Nothing stimulates a down economy like a discounted stimulus package. Even the wives benefitted from the lifting of their nightly burden, which should quell their complaining for at least a week or two. When we do build a stadium, we should consider keeping it near the fair grounds where the plethora of houses of women of loose virtue makes such a promotion a profound success. If only there was a smokable form of cocaine to be purchased nearby as well. That would be delightful!

What the devil?! 3-6 is simply insufferable!! We even lost to Duquesne for goodness sakes and they only played one game! They went undefeated because of us! And I cannot stand another defeat at the hands of those cow-tippers!! Seven straight?! Inconceivable!! But for the Brothel Bucks promotion, I would never purchase another football ticket again. If only willgivespongebathsforfood’s prediction of a smokable cocaine were true. I would let it take me away from this awful place.
