And left with a bag of straws? I should have known you knew it, but I haven't tried it in 40+ years. Was stationed in Pensacola for 8yrs from 82-90 and trolled off of Perdido Key w/straws. Younger then, went out in the Gulf in a 18ft jonboat with a 20 Mercury and lived.

That old mercury thunderbolt ignition turned a 20hp into what seemed like a 35hp! Had a 79 20hp merc myself!

I went to the Boston concert in Columbia the next week. Sammy Hagar was opening act, and he (The Red Rocker) was lowered down from the ceiling while playing his guitar. What a concert!!!
I also literally "bumped into" Shawn Weatherly the next year at homecoming while buying beer at the Fastfare around 11:00 pm.

in South Bend, Indiana in November as a senior in high school. It was a memorable experience and Billy Lott's TD was awesome.
Also went to that frigid Peach Bowl in Atlanta Fulton County Stadium on New Year's Eve in the coldest Clemson game ever to see us lose to Baylor. A redeeming factor was Clemson basketball beating #1 Duke in OT 10 days later on January 9, 1980 in a packed out Littlejohn Coliseum and later made the Elite 8 in the deepest NCAA tournament run. Good times
