6th Oregon St game

I've watched this year. DJ is the same QB. I will say though the Oregon State OL is well coached and looks strong enough in the pac 12. Rb Martinez is also a stud, future NFL starter easily.
If I'm Washington I load the box and go single high safety and take away the short routes dare Oregon State to go downfield. Basically how every team has played Clemson the past 3 years.

I'd love to see Clemson have a S&C coach like theirs and who ever their OL coach is.

The problem with your comment is this - he's a different QB in a system

that shows his best attributes. He's 10th in QBR prior this game, primarily because of downfield throws.
He never was the QB for Dabo's offense. Blame that on Dabo for not changing to match his talent.

I blame Dabo for recruiting a player that did not fit his vision. Should not need to change your entire scheme for a single player.
Also they are finally playing teams with a pulse on defense. Stack the box and dial it up. DJ is the same guy he can't throw with anticipation and throws it 100mph when under duress. Thankfully they have an exceptional run game and OL. Playaction and blocking is very good when you have enough time to throw to a guy waiting for the ball(ie a late throw).

and how was I wrong? OSU loses because of a bad snap....

|
|
are you taking credit for that, LOFL?
DJU 15/31, 166 yards, 2 INT's, 53 yds rushing and 4 FD's Penix 13/28, 162, 2 TD's, 22 yards rushing with 1 TD and 1 FD
DJU's 2 INT's come on a 4th down Hail Mary at the end of the 1st half, and then on a play when he's hit as he throws.
106 yards of Penix' throws go to a 6'3", 215 wideout. DJU's WR are 5'8", 157 and and 5'7", 172 lbs.
Yeah, Penix is all over DJU.
Do you ever get tired of being so out of touch with the real FACTS?

Would go away. He can’t play. He quit on Clemson after two mediocre years. Dabo blew several games because of his loyalty to the big stiff from California.

He’s got them to 8-2 and the two losses were on the road and close.
He’s better this year, as he should be.
Be happy for him.

He's the same QB and I'm sick of people acting like things would be different at Clemson if he were still the QB and using him as a means of taking shots at the current QB. They ask very little of DJ at Oregon State. All of his yards passing today are from yac and 2 yard throws.

They are. However 2 different units. Hey Einstein, special teams is another unit
It’s pretty clear you don’t know much about this subject. Why even keep stats for D & O….according to OldMike, just the team ranking is all that matters. Such nonsense

I’ve also watched their games and you are correct, a few PAC teams play good D, but as a whole not so much
Btw, 34th and 45th…. I would not be happy if Clemson was 34th or 45th total D. But hey if you’re impressed with that good on you

but at least I am willing to give credit where credit is due, whereas you're just a loudmouth who thinks running down other people makes you a big man.
Go pull for the Coots you punkazz big mouth.
DJU was 10th in ESPN QBR - you're railing up the hill against facts. He was far from perfect, but DJU does deserve better than he's gotten not his POS Board.

I’ve watched some of the games as well, and you’re spot on. Their offensive line is amazing. They buy DJ all kinds of time which is what he needs in order to see the field and find his receivers. And you’re right, they have a stud running back that helps tremendously.

I have not watched much, but watched some last night. DJ is the same with a better oline and back around him from what I saw. Still missing the same throws.
For what it is worth, I can honestly say now that we have a good body of work from Cade, he is a slight upgrade. At this point I am not confident in Cades ability to lead this program back to the Elite status.

This is crap, he's not even throwing the same throws that were asked of him here

at Clemson. The route trees are totally different, and with different timing to boot. For one thing as well, his throws are almost all downfield as he has serious speed with his main two guys - speed as good or better than Tyler Brown. DJU never had that speed while he was here unless you want to count stone-hands Frank Ladson.
Most of the idiots watching him last night don't understand that DJU's primary receivers on the year are both 5'7". The fact that they had trouble gaining separation last night was generally putting DJU into a position of throwing into tight windows. The one UW corner had several PBU's and was talked up all night by Herbie. But a PBU means the ball was there on the receiver and not "missed" by the QB. He was a tough corner and had better length even than his 5'10" height.
It's instructive that the UW QB, Penix, who's the supposed Heisman Candidate had over 100 yards throwing to his primary receiver last night - a guy who goes 6'3" and 215 pounds.
But the statistics showed DJU and Penix with almost exactly the same Attempts, Completions and Yards across the board.
DJU was never the perfect QB for our system, and has many things that he could get better at,
but he in no way deserves the contempt that is shown to him on this POS site. The number of absolute PUNK RED-NECKS here is off the charts....

throws", which is a theme that has been floated here multiple times.
Instead of berating me for supporting a good kid, and one who took far too much of the blame for what here over the last three years,
why don't you berate the fools on this Board who just love thinking they're big shots for running down a Coach/kid?
Or is that just too non-PC for YOU to actually take a position that is contrary to the group of fools on this Board?
Grow up - get some courage - be a freaking man - think for yourself....

'berate' lol
The only one doing the berating here is you my guy. If getting on here and going ham on anybody who mentions DJ with anything but glowing reviews brings you joy, then by all means keep it up. But I reckon you'd be happier without.

the complete Losers who got on here to diss on DJU were on here before me.
You see, you fail to take account that I haven't "gone ham" on just anyone. No.... I've pretty much just stuck to "berating" fools who think they sound big because they can diss on someone.
But like I said.... I was just minding my own business when the fools started their yapping.
And then this is TNET nowadays - people like you who defend a fool's right to be an A-hole to the very end. It makes no sense.
DJU is long gone; so people need to man up, get some integrity, show some little bit of class if they can, and either thank DJU for his time here or take note of the positive things going on in his life, including improved play for an 8-3 team (and the rave reviews his attitude and leadership has gotten).
If someone can't do that, they absolutely deserve to have someone "go ham" on them. Ands so do enablers like you.
It's a POS 1.5%'er attitude, and it needs to be shown the door....
