standpoint, get to be such a mouthpiece for ESPN. Do you have to be a weasel to cover sports nowadays? Why that guy's opinion matters is a sad commentary on sports journalism.

Just like my dad has always said, the guys that never played on any of his high school teams(basically we're just statisticians) ended up as sportswriters for The State- Bob Cole and Bob Spears. Typical journalism jobs go to the people with no experience in what they are covering.
