If Dabo stays, which I fully believe he will, we have our 2x National Champ coach. If he goes, we bring in a Top HC that finally makes us relevant in the NIL/Portal. Either way, Clemson will be just fine.

Not sure a coach can make us relevant in NIL, that comes from us the fans and any companies that want to take part and pay the players. A coach may push it more like Beamer does, but he is not the one paying into it.

Dabo has refused to engage in bidding wars for top recruits and portal prospects. This makes our NIL program ineffective, and relegates it to a player retention fund.
A new coach may have a different philosophy.

^ Truth. Although, I think he’s done well on the retention side. To build the NIL funding pool, he needs to be more transparent about what is needed. That’s literally the only thing I admire about Day at OhioSt. He told the boosters exactly what the cost is to retain his roster.

I guess this conversation is based on the one portal OL who we “think” walked in the door with his hand out and a financial requirement. Dabo doesn’t play that, but what else are you using for evidence?
Our NIL program is not a hindrance to our recruiting. To say it is, is pretty much baseless.

They throw money at anything that doesn't suit them. They swap cars when the ashtray is full, call a plumber when the toilet or sink doesn't work right and a carpenter when a door sticks.
They actually believe that money fixes everything. The lavish their wives with jewels and flowers rather than loving them as Christ loves His Church. They are always looking to trade up in every aspect of their lives.
