By the way, did you know Sowell is very anti Trump? Maybe you should research him a little more. He's also anti Biden, just like the people you mentioned in this post.
You know... people who can consider both sides and have intelligent conversations and understand nuances instead of labeling anything they disagree with as "evil" or the other side.
Sowell has always seemed like an interesting person to talk with and discuss ideas.
Dig into Sowell's political history. You, personally, won't like it.

It's more indicative of a problem with society as a whole in that many have stopped having intelligent discussions or considering both sides, and instead of fallen into echo chambers where they believe their side is good and pure while the other is evil. They have turned this way with their specially catered cable news channels and their social media feeds.
Thus, as a result, the adults are trickling this down to children to their detriment, teaching them bad habits. And to Sowell's point, maybe we've decided too soon to delve young children into the political/social topics instead of just letting them be ####### kids.
Maybe it's less of a grand plot and more of just a failure of our society in general.
