Here's my biggest concern regarding expansion

I'll start by saying I'm not sold on Clemson moving to the Big 12 with just FSU. If its FSU and say GT, Miami, VT etc then I would be much more in favor of it because it would give us southern area teams to play. I will say though if FSU leaves then Clemson better do something.
Which brings me to my concern. Do I believe that Clemson has spoken with the Big 12? Absolutely. Do I think Clemson has the GUTS to actually make the move? I'm not sold on that at all. We all know this administrations love affair with ACC academics. Its going to take a LOT of convincing to get them to agree to make a move to the Big12 considering the academic reputation of the Big12 isnt all that great. I just don't see the whole administration being aggressive in making the move, and thats a problem. Its a problem because if FSU decides to leave, and it looks like the football schools are going to leave the conference, there are going to be a lot of schools trying to save their own butts. Once that happens its going to be a free for all and if you don't already have your seat secured in a better conference you could be SOL. What I'm concerned about is Clemson is sitting back waiting to see what happens...which is a HUGE problem. They better already have their seat secure NOW if in fact there is something going down, and I'm just not convinced they are proactive enough to do that.

If we're such a smart academic conference, then why are we on the outside looking in. We the so called academic conference kept that idiot Swafford in charge and that really shows just how smart our leaders of this conference are. Hopefully Clemson's leadership gets active in a move to the big twelve and is not left on the outside looking in like our academic ACC leadership so called conference. If we set back this could be a slow agonizing death for Clemson Football and other sports as well as money. This conference got outsmarted by less academic conferences because they cared about protecting basketball first.

about one thing...basketball. Thats why the other conferences passed them by. What I'm afraid of is those in charge at Clemson couldn't care less about Clemson getting left behind in football. Some may even be happy about that happening.

I've been encouraged by the increase in coaches salaries recently but thats one of a few small pieces of hope in the face of a LOT more evidences of no commitment whatsoever.

why would leaving the acc make us unacademic?
does a move make our school become a school
with only parks and recreation degrees?
