Help with away game advice

Aug 8, 2013, 9:26 PM

I live in the DC area now and will attend my first away games at Maryland and at Virginia. I'm just looking for advice on where to go before and after games, tailgating, and parking advice, hotel for Charlottesville, etc. Any info or input would be appreciated.

I will also be looking to buy tickets and parking passes from someone here on the board.

The local Clemson Club ( https://www.facebook.com/ClemsonClubDC ) is selling tickets in its block and will have a tailgate spot before the UMD game.

They don't require membership to buy tickets, but if not a member, the price is slightly higher.

Md tailgating is patrolled by cops vigorously. Broke the flags off our car. Spit at a bunch of us walking in. F'd us and little children. Absolute nightmare. Va you can park in a bank parking lot and walk to the stadium.

and we for the life of us could not figure out why anyone in their right mind would ever go to Maryland. We had to drive to a train station, park the car, wait on the train, took the train to the campus where we then had to get on a bus. The stadium was quite old and depressing...after the game and our victory it was very confusing and everyone that we talked to us gave us different directions but told us to be careful where we were walking. Some people were very rude. One extremely hot student in a tight mini dress no bra with a goober bf told us where to wait for a bus to get out of there. The buses were not on time and then once we got off the bus no taxi would pick us up and take us back to Virginia because of their rules regarding who they can pick up and where they can take you. So bottom line .... Victory was awesome..every other thing sucked!
