of the Shyatt era. Admittedly I've busted on the guy a few times over the years for being one of Shyatt's players, but he still gave his best on the court. Sorry to hear this.

He was the best guy! He lived above me at Lightsey for 2 years and always came over to hang out. I'd come home from class and he'd be over at our apt laying on the couch watching tv...and none of us were even there! He made us laugh constantly! This news just makes my heart so sad...

Heard it was a heart attack. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends, and the Clemson family. I know the team will dedicate the game to him tonight.

That's a shame. I was there 98-02. Hobbs was a really nice guy. Does anyone know what happened?

I think he had heart problems...don't assume something if you don't know. Chris was a fun guy and I hate this and pray for his family.

He had some sort of heart murmur thing when he was at Clemson, I remember he took medication for it. Don't know if his passing is related to that , but I do remember that.

He was a good guy

We had English 101 together (my first scheduled class as a Freshman). He was assigned as the essay reviewer for one of my four research assignments. He was polite, well-spoken (in a very theatrical sort of way; almost James Earl Jones-like), and extremely friendly. He was also the first athlete I met at Clemson--I couldn't get over how he made a pencil look like a toothpick in his hand. Sad, sad about his passing.

I remember Hobbs very well. I got to play against him in some high school AAU events, and can personally attest that he was an absolute beast. He was a very nice guy off the court as well, and always had a very positive attitude when I ran into him around campus. One of our best, and sorely missed.
