Monkens, got TWO of them on the list.
Speculation on here is that our own Mike Reed is going to get the job. Must be some fire to that smoke, otherwise, how could we possibly not have given him a HUGE raise? The man is probably the best recruiter we have, and his position group has been the strongest part of the teams the last few years.

Agree, and a huge loss for us. Should have given others less and Reed more. Would have taken 50 from grisham and spiller and 100 from Wes and given Eason and reed the same.

Coach a couple hundred K more will keep him from taking a power 5 job as a head coach making a couple Million more? That’s like saying you work as a mid level leader at a company but another company will 5 times your salary and make you the CEO of that company but you might stay if your current company gives you a 35% raise. Parole were saying this about BV too lol.
Come on guys; the goal is to run your program, if you get that change in the power 5 you almost always take it espically if you are a position coach.

While I agree with your premise, I don't think it would have kept him here if he does aspire for a p5 job. I posted the same thing under the salary piece on the front page. I think he deserved more. Proof is in the pudding, right? Want to take a gander at the offense position grades? Or for that matter, the safeties grades? That's really all I was saying.

But he has not ever even been a coordinator and he isn’t that young anymore. So you don’t turn down 4-5 years and 20-30million dollars guaranteed hoping for a better gig than BC. You never need to work again.

Who really wants to be a new head coach in this landscape of college football? If I was secure in decent program as a positions coach, I think I would stay there until this era of college football has a clearer picture. Too many unknowns and stress dealing with NIL and TP.

100% agree.
Plus it's in chestnut hills. Nice a few months during the summer. But no-one cares about bc sports unless it's hockey.
