Our first game scouting UGA its going to be a tough game

I believe we can beat them, if we bring our A game and our offense gets much better and our defense is aggressive, it’s going to be a tough game for both teams.
This article popped up on my feed talking about their depth and returning depth from past years. Looks like they are replacing their center too.
Our offense is going to have to be balanced and run some clock to take advantage of our defense and their abilities to hold the dawgs off in this game.
It’s going to be a slobber knocker.

I expect it to be tight for the first half with Clemson's defense keeping them in the game. I also think UGA's talent and depth shows up in the secod half. Dawgs (something like) 34-17.

With or without Etn?
The game will be won by the best running game and I think Mafah is the best back in that game. The question is whether Clemson’s oline can improve dramatically enough as UGA’s oline is better coming in.
Also think losing Bowers and McConkey are huge even with good players returning. Delp is good but no Bowers.

I don't disagee with your point about Mafah. He is a beast. The issue, as you alllude, is Clemson's oline. Most teams don't have a great deal of success running on UGA. Clemson's oline is going to have to improve - a lot - for the Tigers to have success on the ground. Other than Mafah, and that may be debatable, I don't see an offensive position group where Clemson has the advantage.

The running back position would be the only debatable position on the offensive side of the ball where we may be better than the dawgs.

We can pull out a win but nothing in the past two years says we’ll make this game close.
Look at the last two games we played. We barely beat a bad Dirtpecker and Kentucky team. Some people on here were thrilled we just beat Kentucky. Don’t get me wrong, I always love a win but it also shows how we’ve fallen. Again, new year new players. Some new coaches so we’ll see but I still don’t think this game will even be close.
Ofcourse I can’t wait to see us play in person next weekend. Hopefully Cade matures and makes a lot better decisions and we’ll see that play out this fall on Saturdays. That would give us a chance to be back special and elite. Seeing the last drive in the Kentucky game was a thing of beauty.

I think even if we lose it will be a great game. I definitely think we can win though, if we go in healthy.

we are in a down cycle and they are up. Didn’t see them any during 2015-2020. Wish we played every year.
